Senior Software Developer
Intalgent is looking for a full-time Senior Software Developer to join our energetic, multi-disciplinary team. This new team member will be a key contributor to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from conception through deployment. The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for leading or contributing to architecture and technical design decisions. This position is available either in Charlottesville, Virginia or in Reston, Virginia.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- A minimum of eight (8) years in software development of complex systems
- A minimum of four (4) years commercial Java software development experience with strong Object-Oriented knowledge including experience in applying design patterns
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of test-driven development and working experience with Agile methodologies and best practices
- Any work with clustering and high availability a big plus
System Administrator
Intalgent is looking for a full-time self-motivated System Administrator to join our energetic, multi-disciplinary team. The System Administrator is responsible for performing a range of technical duties for our Managed Services customers as they require, including; installing, deploying, monitoring, and reconfiguring managed network devices, responding to incident requests, building new managed infrastructure within our managed hosting facility, and work with management to improve our Managed Services Provider (MSP) delivery platform by programming, assessing, and testing back end systems.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- A minimum of two (2) years commercial experience administrating Linux servers
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (including Layers 2, 4 - 7 content switching)
- Must have solid network troubleshooting skills with a thorough understanding of network security aspects, common problems, and solutions
- Cisco Network certifications (or equivalent training/experience) highly preferred but not required
- Any knowledge or experience with routed and routing protocols is a plus
